“We need to get some broad based support,
to capture the public’s imagination…
So we have to offer up scary scenarios,
make simplified, dramatic statements
and make little mention of any doubts…
Each of us has to decide what the right balance
is between being effective and being honest.”
– Prof. Stephen Schneider,
Stanford Professor of Climatology,
lead author of many IPCC reports
“We’ve got to ride this global warming issue.
Even if the theory of global warming is wrong,
we will be doing the right thing in terms of
economic and environmental policy.”
– Timothy Wirth,
President of the UN Foundation
“No matter if the science of global warming is all phony…
climate change provides the greatest opportunity to
bring about justice and equality in the world.”
– Christine Stewart,
former Canadian Minister of the Environment
“The data doesn’t matter. We’re not basing our recommendations
on the data. We’re basing them on the climate models.”
– Prof. Chris Folland,
Hadley Centre for Climate Prediction and Research
“The models are convenient fictions
that provide something very useful.”
– Dr David Frame,
climate modeler, Oxford University
“I believe it is appropriate to have an ‘over-representation’ of the facts
on how dangerous it is, as a predicate for opening up the audience.”
– Al Gore,
Climate Change activist
“It doesn’t matter what is true,
it only matters what people believe is true.”
– Paul Watson,
co-founder of Greenpeace
“The only way to get our society to truly change is to
frighten people with the possibility of a catastrophe.”
– emeritus professor Daniel Botkin
Those quotes are from some of the very influential people who are members of the Club of Rome or some of it’s affiliated organizations. What is the Club of Rome, and why would these people conspire to alarm the whole world with false prophesies of doom? The answers to those questions are better understood with a bit of background.
Quoting from the green-agenda website:
Founded in 1968 at David Rockefeller’s estate in Bellagio, Italy, the CoR describes itself as “a group of world citizens, sharing a common concern for the future of humanity.” It consists of current and former Heads of State, UN beaureacrats, high-level politicians and government officials, diplomats, scientists, economists, and business leaders from around the globe.
The Club of Rome subsequently founded two sibling organizations, the Club of Budapest and the Club of Madrid. The former is focused on social and cultural aspects of their agenda, while the latter concentrates on the political aspects. All three of these ‘Clubs’ share many common members and hold joint meetings and conferences……As explained in other articles on this website it is abundantly clear that these are three heads of the same beast. The CoR has also established a network of 33 National Associations. Membership of the ‘main Club’ is limited to 100 individuals at any one time. Some members, like Al Gore and Maurice Strong, are affiliated through their respective National Associations (e.g. USACOR, CACOR etc).
I would like to start this analysis of the Club of Rome by listing some prominent members of the CoR and its two sub-groups, the Clubs of Budapest and Madrid. Personally it isn’t what the CoR is that I find so astonishing; it is WHO the CoR is! This isn’t some quirky little group of green activists or obscure politicians. They are the most senior officials in the United Nations, current and ex-world leaders, and the founders of some of the most influential environmental organisations. When you read their reports in the context of who they are – its gives an entirely new, and frightening, context to their extreme claims.
Some current members of the Club of Rome or its two siblings:

Two issues this group is and has been very vocal in warning the public about are global warming and overpopulation. They have been less vocal about a third issue, their desire to form a non-elected, socialist, world government, run by the global elites themselves. In order for them to run a world dictatorship, they must destroy capitalism. Sovereign nations obviously cannot remain; all must bow to the one world government.
“The goal now is a socialist, redistributionist society,
which is nature’s proper steward and society’s only hope.”
– David Brower,
founder of Friends of the Earth
“If we don’t overthrow capitalism, we don’t have a chance of
saving the world ecologically. I think it is possible to have
an ecologically sound society under socialism.
I don’t think it is possible under capitalism”
– Judi Bari,
principal organiser of Earth First!
“Isn’t the only hope for the planet that the
industrialized civilizations collapse?
Isn’t it our responsiblity to bring that about?”
– Maurice Strong,
founder of the UN Environment Programme
“A massive campaign must be launched to de-develop the
United States. De-development means bringing our
economic system into line with the realities of
ecology and the world resource situation.”
– Paul Ehrlich,
Professor of Population Studies
“The only hope for the world is to make sure there is not another
United States. We can’t let other countries have the same
number of cars, the amount of industrialization, we have in the US.
We have to stop these Third World countries right where they are.”
– Michael Oppenheimer,
Environmental Defense Fund
Though meetings of the Club or Rome are closed to the public, and no public records are kept, they do publish “discussion reports” and have published a couple of books. Also, the United Nations contracts with the Club or Rome to prepare ‘Policy Guidance Documents’ which it uses in formulating its policies and programmes. The Club of Rome has great influence at the United Nations. This is not surprising. Former Secretary General Kofi Anan is a member of the Club of Rome, and many high ranking UN officials are members of affiliated organizations. The CoR and it’s daughter organizations are populated by heavy weights in world politics and business.
In 1992 the Club of Rome published THE FIRST GLOBAL REVOLUTION and repeated alarmist claims about global warming and population growth. They also laid the groundwork for the creation of a world dictatorship. The following quote is from pg 75 of the first edition:
“This is the way we are setting the scene for mankind’s encounter with the planet. The opposition between the two ideologies that have dominated the 20th century has collapsed, forming their own vacuum and leaving nothing but crass materialism.
It is a law of Nature that any vacuum will be filled and therefore eliminated unless this is physically prevented. “Nature,” as the saying goes, “abhors a vacuum.” And people, as children of Nature, can only feel uncomfortable, even though they may not recognize that they are living in a vacuum. How then is the vacuum to be eliminated?
It would seem that humans need a common motivation, namely a common adversary, to organize and act together in the vacuum; such a motivation must be found to bring the divided nations together to face an outside enemy, either a real one or else one invented for the purpose.
New enemies therefore have to be identified.
New strategies imagined, new weapons devised.
The common enemy of humanity is man.
In searching for a new enemy to unite us, we came up with the idea that pollution, the threat of global warming, water shortages, famine and the like would fit the bill. All these dangers are caused by human intervention, and it is only through changed attitudes and behavior that they can be overcome. The real enemy then, is humanity itself.
The old democracies have functioned reasonably well over the last 200 years, but they appear now to be in a phase of complacent stagnation with little evidence of real leadership and innovation
Democracy is not a panacea. It cannot organize everything and it is unaware of its own limits. These facts must be faced squarely. Sacrilegious though this may sound, democracy is no longer well suited for the tasks ahead. The complexity and the technical nature of many of today’s problems do not always allow elected representatives to make competent decisions at the right time.”
There is an old story by the name of “Henny Penny”, better known in the United States as “Chicken Little” about mass hysteria and the dangers of believing everything you are told. In the tale a small chick is hit on the head by a falling acorn and believes that the “sky is falling” and the world is coming to an end. “Chicken Little” runs through the woods warning everyone of the unfolding disaster and causing mass panic. In one ending to the story a fox lures them into his lair and kills nearly all of them.
The global elites who own the major news agencies and fund the campaigns of most of the most influential politicians in the world have undertaken to create a global mass panic, much as Chicken Little did. Their plan is much more elaborate of course. Those who do not believe or support their agenda and the global warming theory they are selling are either ignored, isolated, discredited, or destroyed by various methods. The global warming, now called Climate Change, myth is promoted as fact and repeatedly promoted via numerous venues and authorities. In California Gov. Jerry Brown has talked about criminalizing speech which is skeptical of the Climate Change theory. A billionaire in the energy sector who owns solar power companies is pushing for Attorneys General in other states to shut down speech which is skeptical of global warming. This is the face of leftist activism. Violence and dictatorship are bedfellows with leftist politics.
The result of now decades of climate alarmism and censorship of real science regarding global warming is that we now have generations of young people who have been conditioned to support it. These young people will form the basis of support for the solution offered by the globalists. I believe it will take more than mere warnings that the sky is falling. But this young generation has been conditioned to believe in the authorities and teachers who have been pushing this hoax. At the same time they have been indoctrinated with political correctness, multiculturalism, and socialist dogma. It is no coincidence that leftist jargon about social justice, white privilege, and racist police officers has become commonplace in the news. In an economy ruined by Democrats, young people have trouble finding jobs. George Soros is personally funding radical groups like Black Lives Matter, paying them to act out violently, demanding “social justice”. The globalists are stirring the cauldron of social unrest. If there is another financial meltdown or some other such catastrophic event, these radical groups may form the vanguard of a wave of massive civil unrest. Martial law? If a leftist is in power, this will be the first step in the destruction of our civil rights. If Trump is in power and is forced to declare martial law, it will be used as an excuse by the various radical anti American groups to engage in an all out civil war. Either scenario is beneficial for the globalists.
“A reasonable estimate for an industrialized world society
at the present North American material standard of living
would be 1 billion. At the more frugal European standard
of living, 2 to 3 billion would be possible.”
– United Nations,
Global Biodiversity Assessment
“A total population of 250-300 million people,
a 95% decline from present levels, would be ideal.”
– Ted Turner,
founder of CNN and major UN donor
“… the resultant ideal sustainable population is hence
more than 500 million but less than one billion.”
– Club of Rome,
Goals for Mankind
How do the globalists intend to reach their goal of reducing the world population from 7.5 billion to less than 1 billion people? Given that forcing so many people to use birth control is virtually impossible, they must be considering other options. None of them are pleasant to consider.
While it is likely that many leftists are concerned with the environment, and are worried about overpopulation of the planet, I question the sincerity of the most powerful globalists. They desire total power and control over the people of the world. They want a world where every person has an RFID chip embedded under the skin and all their financial, medical, and social information is tracked by that chip. Those who rebel can simply have their chip turned off, and will be unable to even buy food. That is what film maker Aaron Russo was told by Nick Rockefeller who approached him about becoming a member of the Council on Foreign Relations. Listen to Russo tell of his conversation with Rockefeller in his own words.
