AP 2004 FLASHBACK: “Kenyan-Born Obama All Set for US Senate”

(Just a reminder that before he ran for President, Obama was publicly acknowledged as having been born in Kenya. And not just in this paper, also in promotional materials produced for him.)

Earlier today Breitbart.com published a 1991 booklet by Barack Obama’s literary agent that claimed Obama was “born in Kenya and raised in Indonesia and Hawaii.”

It’s not the only time Barack Obama claimed to be born in Kenya.

On Sunday, June 27, 2004, the AP published an article about “Kenyan-born Obama”.

“Kenyan-born Obama all set for US Senate”

Here’s part of the article:

Kenyan-born US Senate hopeful, Barrack Obama, appeared set to take over the Illinois Senate seat after his main rival, Jack Ryan, dropped out of the race on Friday night amid a furor over lurid sex club allegations.

The allegations that horrified fellow Republicans and caused his once-promising candidacy to implode in four short days have given Obama a clear lead as Republicans struggled to fetch an alternative.

As far as we know, Barack Obama never refuted this article.
